How Auto Donation Can Help Your Community

As summer comes to an end, you may find that the weeks have flown by too quickly for you to do everything you set out to do this summer. If one of your summer goals was to find a meaningful way to give back to your community, there’s still time and Wheels For Wishes is here to help. Through our auto donation program, we benefit Make-A-Wish and help them grant wishes for children who are facing critical illnesses. Donating is easy, hassle-free, and allows you to dispose of an unneeded vehicle while also giving back to your community!

How Does Donating A Car Help?

On average, Make-A-Wish grants a wish every 38 minutes. But even with that amazing rate, they aren’t able to reach every child waiting to have their wish granted. Donating your vehicle to Wheels For Wishes is a great way for you to help them reach more of these deserving children. When you donate a car, truck, RV, boat, motorcycle or almost any other type of automobile, Wheels For Wishes turns it into wishes for children in your community.

How To Donate A Car This Summer

For many people, the decision to make a donation to a charitable cause is an easy one. If you don’t have enough extra income to make charitable contributions, however, there is still a simple way that you can make a significant contribution to Make-A-Wish. If you’ve got a car that no longer runs or if it’s time to upgrade to a better vehicle, donating your old car can be an easy decision.

There are many options for people when it comes to replacing an old vehicle. Selling it yourself or trading it in can be stressful if you don’t know its fair-market value or you need to make repairs to it first. Selling a broken down car to a scrap yard can be difficult too. The cost of towing it to the yard may not balance out the payment you’ll get from selling it for scrap metal.

With all that in mind, it’s good to know that there is an easier alternative to all the stress of haggling with buyers on the price, towing the car yourself, or worrying that a dealer isn’t giving you a fair price.

Donate A Car To Help Children During National Brain Tumor And Neurofibromatosis Month

Look back on your life and remember the days of being a child and a teenager. Now put yourself in the shoes of a child battling a critical illness, such as neurofibromatosis or a brain tumor. Brain tumors are most common in children under the age of 20, males up to the age of 39, and females under the age of 20. Neurofibromatosis is usually diagnosed in childhood or early adulthood. This puts many children and young adults at risk. This is why it is so important to spread awareness during the month of May during National Brain Tumor and Neurofibromatosis Month. Start by remembering to wear a gray ribbon, which signifies brain tumors.
